Broadway Plaza revenue up 44 percent in 2018

The Broadway Plaza hosted 126 events, both private and public, according to the review released by event director Jessica Brucken.
Revenue generated during 2018, which includes grant funding, advertisement, tech usage, rentals and licenses, was up 44 percent from 2017.
An estimated 9,256 people attended events at the Broadway Plaza last year.
Since opening in September, 2016 there have been 308 events at the Plaza.
There were 15 non-profit organizations that hosted either hosted an event or utilized the concession stand during 2018.
Of the events hosted at the plaza last year, 58 percent took place between May and August.
Attending during the Broadway Plaza Movie and Concert Series increased in 2018.
The movie series had 886 attend, up from 820 in 2017.
Attendance at the concert series increased from 765 to 907.
King Midas & the Mufflers drew almost 400 people to the Plaza for the June concert.
Cloud County Convention & Tourism hosted 43 tour groups that visited the plaza along with the Nazareth Motherhouse, the National Orphan Train Complex, POW Camp Concordia and the Brown Grand Theatre.
“The Broadway Plaza is a blessing for our community. I can't think of another offering that encourages and supports so many from our community to get together and enjoy time with one another,” Brucken stated on the review.
