County board approves publication of 2019 budget

The Cloud County board of commissioners approved publication of the proposed 2019 budget at their regular meeting Monday and established Monday, Aug.27 for the public hearing budget.

The proposed budget would drop the tax levy from 72.698 mills to 70.980 mills, a drop of 1.518 mills.

However, because of the assessed valuation increase from $104,308,290 to $110,820,329, the mill levy will raise $282,570 more in tax dollars.
