Sheriff's Dept. Report
Arrests – At about 1:05 p.m. May 2, the Cloud County Sheriff's Department responded to the area near 1500 North 180th Road for a report of a male individual removing spikes and anchors from the railroad tracks and attempting to steal the metal track parts belonging to BNSF Railway Company. At about 1 p.m. May 10, following an investigation, the Sheriff's Department arrested Lowell Hanson, Concordia. He was charged with felony criminal damage to property, theft of property and criminal trespassing on railroad property and transported to the Cloud County Law Enforcement Center.
At about 11:40 a.m. May 6, a Cloud County Sheriff's Department deputy arrested Michael Jeramiah Jerome Riley on a Cloud County District Court warrant for probation violation. Riley was transported to the Cloud County Law Enforcement Center.
Accidents – At about 4:50 p.m. May 6, the Cloud County Sheriff's Department responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury accident in the 1600 section of K9 Highway. A 2015 Chevrolet passenger car driven by Megan Eakins, Concordia, was traveling eastbound when she began braking to avoid turkeys crossing the road. A 2015 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Jolene Girard, Concordia, was also traveling eastbound and rear-ended the Eakins vehicle.
At about 12:04 a.m. May 11, the Cloud County Sheriff's Department responded to a one-vehicle, non-injury accident in the 2100 section of K-9 Highway. A 2009 Chevrolet passenger car driven by Madelyn Meyer, Concordia, was traveling westbound when it struck a deer.

Accident – At 1:55 p.m. Tuesday, officers investigated an accident in the 1400 block of Lincoln Street involving vehicles driven by Nicholas Ladd, Salina, and Florina Esteban, Concordia.
