Traffic stops lead to arrest

Traffic stops initiated by Concordia Police Department officers resulted in the arrests of a 17-year-old juvenile and a Salina man.
According to a release from the Concordia Police Department, officers initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Eighth and Lincoln at 12:25 a.m. Tuesday.
Upon investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen from Seabrook, Texas.
The driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old juvenile, was arrested for possession of stolen property. He was transported to a juvenile detention center in Junction City.
At 3:35 p.m. Monday, officers conducted a traffic stop at Plum Road and U.S. Highway 81 which led to the arrest of John Armstrong, 48, Salina. He was transported to the Cloud County Law Enforcement Center and charged with distribution of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended, no proof of insurance and having an expired tag.
