Faye Frazier

Faye Frazier, age 83, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia, Kansas. She was born on October 29, 1940, in Portageville, Missouri, to Wayne F. & Irene (Box) Everett. Irene later married Alfred O’Guin whom Faye knew as her Dad.
Faye graduated from Portageville High School in May 1959. She married Dean R. Frazier on June 7, 1959, in Portageville, Mo., and he survives the home. She and Dean lived in Germany, Alaska and several other places while Dean served in the U.S. Army. They moved to Concordia in 1978.
Faye worked in the banking industry for 16 years and at the First Bank & Trust in Concordia until she went to work for Alstom Power as a routing clerk until her retirement.
Faye had a servant’s heart and was involved in children’s ministry throughout her life and everywhere she lived. She loved to care for all children and the children in her neighborhood were treated as her own.
Faye was very creative and enjoyed baking, crocheting, cross-stitch and a host of other talents. She loved to garden, grow flowers and enjoy and watch the birds in her back yard.
She is survived by her husband, Dean, Concordia, Kan.; daughters, Faye Marie Lupfer (Bob), Hanston, Kan. & Lori Ann Maier (Owen), Owasso, Okla.; brother, Darryl Everett (Judy), Cherokee Village, Ark.; grandchildren, Justin Lupfer (Morgan), Clayton Lupfer (Hilary), Allison Rodriguez (Tregg), Breana Burkhart (Ryan), Andrew Hennes, Andrew Maier (Sarah) & Josef Maier (Rachel); 13 great-grandchildren and a host of friends, neighbors and those whom she considered family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2024, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kan., with Rev. Darren Frazier officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, Kan. Visitation will be Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 1-8 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 6-7 p.m., all at the funeral home.
