Lloyd LeeRay Falk

Lloyd LeeRay Falk, the son of Lloyd M. Falk and Ethel V. (Anderson) Falk, was born April 5, 1936, on the family farm northwest of Jamestown, Kansas, and passed away on January 10, 2024, at Holiday Resort Health & Rehab, Salina, Kansas, at the age of 87.
LeeRay grew up in the Jamestown, Kan., area, attending Prairie Gem School and later Jamestown High School, graduating from Montrose High School.
He attended Ft. Hays State University for three years, receiving an associate degree.
LeeRay was a lifetime farmer and also worked at the Formoso Bank for over 30 years, from 1967 until his retirement in 2000 as a bank officer, and continued to work part-time after his retirement. He lived in Jewell, Kan., and later in Formoso, Kan., for many years, later moving to Belleville, Kan.
On June 8, 1996, he was united in marriage to Adelia “Dee” Eakins Hay.
They enjoyed traveling and sight-seeing for many years. She preceded him in death on April 18, 2015.
LeeRay enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping and the outdoors. He was a member of the Ada Lutheran Church, Courtland, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd & Ethel Falk; his wife, Adelia “Dee” Falk; two sisters, Sandra J. Hanson and Karen A. Falk; one brother, Leon Falk; half-brothers, Duane & Gerold Engstrom; and stepson, Jody Hay.
LeeRay is survived by his sister-in-law, Judy Falk of Harveyville, Kan.; brother-in-law, Dennis Hanson, of Bennington, Kan.; numerous nieces and nephews; two stepsons, Landy (Bev) Hay of Belleville, Kan., and Scott Hay of Scandia, Kan.; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Ada Lutheran Church, rural Courtland, Kansas, with Pastor Kathy Aeillo officiating.
Inurnment will follow at Ada Lutheran Cemetery, rural Courtland.
Friends may call to sign the register from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, Kan., and after 1 p.m. Thursday at the Church.
