Prairieland Partners LLC awards scholarships to Tech Program

Will Kindel and Andrew Mikesell have been awarded scholarships from Prairieland Partners LLC to attend Southeast Community College in the John Deere Tech Program.

Mikesell is a senior at Concordia High School (CHS), and will graduate in May. He discovered his love of Ag mechanics at an early age. “I knew this is what I wanted to do since I was about 10,” Mikesell said. “My grandpa was into this stuff. I've been around it my whole life.”

Mikesell is excited to go to college, and knows he has a job waiting for him at Prairieland Partners when he graduates. “It's a really good program. I'm looking forward to it.”

Will Kindel graduated from CHS in December of 2021, and has already been attending Southeast Community College at the Milford campus in Nebraska. “I always wanted to have a job in the agricultural industry,” Kindel said. “I knew by my sophomore year in high school that this is what I wanted to do. I love mechanical things, and I'm really looking forward to working at Prairieland.”

Kindel and Miksell have been interns at Prairieland Partners in Concordia since May of 2021, were they assisted techs and broadened their knowledge of servicing John Deere equipment.

“We are thrilled to have them working at our facility, and wish them the best of luck with their education,” said Jeff Allison, the store manager of Prairieland Partners in Concordia.
