Capt. and Mrs. Theodore Collins, Alaska, announced the birth of a daughter, Heather, on Easter Sunday... Miss Mary Mock, girls' track coach at CHS, announced that returning letter-girls were Mary Stangel, Carole Rivers, Debbie Predmore and Melissa Melhus.

Larry Blochlinger, president of the Concordia Area Chamber of Commerce for the past 13 years, had resigned after accepting a position with Shelter Insurance... William and Wesley Mason, sons of Mr. and Mrs. William Mason, rural Concordia, won positions in summer science and math seminars for upward bound students... Ben Smith and Ryan Kueker were co-recipients of the Concordia High School's Outstanding Senior Basketball Player Award... Mark and Connie Boley, Concordia, announced the birth of their daughter, Jennifer Jo.
