CCCC rolls to 8-0 victory

The Cloud County Community College women's soccer team extended its winning streak to six straight with an 8-0 romp over Northwest Kansas Technical College Saturday afternoon at Harold M. Clark Stadium.
Cloud County, now 13-1 overall and 11-1 in the Jayhawk Conference West Division, has two regular season matches remaining.
The T-Birds play at Barton Community College on Wednesday and host Hutchinson Community College on Saturday.
Barton, 11-1 in conference play, dealt Cloud County its lone loss, and leads the West with 34 points.
Cloud County has 33 points, and Hutchinson, 9-2-1, has 28.
Wins in the final two matches would give the T-Birds a second straight conference title.
Fernanda Peinado started the scoring onslaught for Cloud County with a goal just 3:21 into the match off an assist from Chiara Perrone.
Ingrid Castro scored in the 14th minute to put the T-Birds up 2-0. Peinado was credited with the assist.
Joana Villanova, who led Cloud County with 16 goals last season but had been sidelined with an injury since September 12, scored 23:12 into the match to make it 3-0. Franciele Cupertino got the assist.
An unassisted goal by Tatiana Carrillo Sua with just under three minutes remaining in the first half gave the T-Birds a commanding 4-0 advantage.
Cloud County would tack on four goals in the second half.
Peinado scored her second goal of the match with just over three minutes gone by in the second half off an assist from Abigail Conway.
A goal by Aroa Nieto in the 51st minute gave the T-Birds a 6-0 cushion. Thaina Cavalcante picked up the assist.
Izabella Christina knocked in a penalty kick in the 54th minute to make it 7-0.
Gabriela de Jesus capped off the scoring with a goal in the 74th minute off an assist from Sua.
Cloud County had 16 shots on goal to three for the Mavericks.
Alanya Hannigan and Chelsea Cordice each played a half in goal for the T-Birds.
Hannigan had two saves and Cordice had one.
