CJHS girls post wins over Republic County

The Concordia eighth grade girls' basketball team capped off its regular season with a  30-12 win over Republic County in a home game on Thursday.
Concordia led Republic County 6-2 after one quarter of play.
The Panthers scored six points in the second period, to four for Republic County, to make it 12-6 at halftime.
Concordia outscored Republic County 7-2 in the third quarter to extend the lead to 19-8.
The Panthers tacked on 11 points in the final stanza and limited Republic County to four points.
Shaelin Giersch led Concordia with 13 points.
Cianna DeLeon added seven points.
The Concordia seventh grade girls defeated the Republic County B-team 25-8.
Concordia had a 9-2 lead at halftime.
The Panthers tossed in 10 points in the third quarter, and allowed just four points, to go on top 19-6.
Concordia added six points in the final period, to two points for Republic County.
Carlie Carlgren scored 14 points for the Panthers.
