Clay Center downs eighth grade girls

CLAY CETER — The Concordia eighth grade girls' basketball team lost 43-13 to Clay Center on Thursday.
Clay Center grabbed a 16-4 lead in the first quarter.
Concordia was outscored 15-2 in the second stanza, and trailed 31-6 at halftime.
The Panthers were shutout in the third quarter, and Clay Center scored 10 points to go up 41-6.
Concordia scored seven points in the final period to two for Clay Center.
Hanna Acree scored six points for the Panthers.
The Concordia B-team was beaten 22-8 by Clay Center.
Desyn Thornton and Cianna DeLeon scored three points each for Concordia.
