Eighth grade loses at Marysville

MARYSVILLE — The Marysville eighth grade girls' basketball team defeated Concordia 35-21 on Thursday.
Concordia trailed 8-4 after one quarter of play.
Marysville outscored Concordia 10-14 in the second stanza, and led 18-8 at halftime.
The Panthers scored six points in the third quarter, to 11 for Marysville, and trailed 29-14.
Concordia added seven points in the final period to six for Marysville.
Madison Meyer scored 11 points for Concordia. Carlie Carlgren added nine points.
The Concordia B-team dropped a narrow 23-22 decision to Marysville.
Concordia led the game 11-9 at halftime.
Marysville scored 14 points in the second half to 11 for the Panthers.
Carlgren, Emalee Johnson and Zoe Britt scored five points each for Concordia.
