Gilkeson, Peters place in top 20

WAMEGO — Concordia High School freshmen Jordan Gilkeson and Sera Peters recorded top 20 finishes in the North Central Kansas League meet at Wamego Country Club on Thursday.
Gilkeson turned in a time of 22:09.2 to place 17th.
Peters crossed in 20th place with a time of 22:50.1.
Concordia had sophomore Haleigh Smith finish 21st in 23:14.0.
Sophomore Emma Losh was 32nd in 24:57.1.
The Panthers, with only four runners, did not score as a team.
Clay Center won the team title with 25 points. Wamego was second with 42 and Abilene was third with 62.
Taylor Briggs, Chapman, was the individual champion with a time of 18:43.2.
The Concordia boys had sophomore Austin Killan place 38th in 20:16.7.
Aaron Modrow, Chapman, won the race in 15:58.9.
Clay Center captured the team title with 32 points. Wamego was second with 47 and Marysville was third with 69.
Concordia's Megan Barr placed second in the seventh grade girls' race with a time of 14:00.9.
Acadia Workman was 20th in 20:35.8.
Cody Trost ran 13:14.8 to finish fourth for Concordia in the seventh grade boys' race.
Wyatt Franz finished 19th in 14:10.1.
Billy Wahlmeier placed 12th in the eighth grade boys' race for Concordia with a time of 12:50.9. Dylan Terrill was 33rd in 15:12.4.
Concordia had Moyra Barnes finish 11th in the eighth grade girls' race in 15:17.1.
Cami Anderson placed 13th in 15:40.2. Peyton Johnson was 14th in 15:59.7 and Paige McWhorter was 16th in 16:01.2.
