JH wrestlers suffer two losses

ABILENE — The Concordia Junior High School wrestling team suffered a pair of narrow dual losses during a triangular on Thursday.
Concordia was beaten 49-42 by Abilene and lost 49-41 to Chapman.
The Panthers got out to a an early lead on Abilene with Christian Belden, 75 pounds; Connor Novak, 80 pounds; Wade Kindel, 85 pounds and Koby Tyler, 90 pounds, winning by forfeit.
Cody Trost pinned Abilene's Casey Hamilton in the 95-pound class.
Easton Swihart, 100 pounds, was pinned by Christopher McClannahan.
Ashton Dooley lost by fall to Logan Elliot in the 105-pound class.
Bergun Kindel, 110 pounds, was pinned by Braden Wilson.
Daniel Vines, 120 pounds, pinned Dayton Wuthnow.
Dustin Sterrett lost by fall to Zach Miller in the 127-pound class.
Chayton Alquist-Pennell was pinned by Jonathan Stevens in the 148-pound class.
Gunnar Hale, 265 pounds, pinned Gavin Runyan.
In the dual against Chapman, Belden was pinned by Gage Picking.
Novak, Wade Kindel and Tyler won by forfeit.
Trost pinned Hayden Sutterfield.
Swihart and Dooley won by forfeit.
Bergun Kindel was beaten 4-2 by Cougar Miller.
Vines won by technical fall, 17-2, over Dalton Obermeyer.
Sterrett lost by fall to CJ Holm.
Alquist-Pennell was beaten 10-0 by Paul Cooper.
Hale lost by fall to Troy Boyd.
