Seventh grade falls

CLAY CENTER — Concordia suffered a narrow 36-34 loss to Clay Center in seventh grade boys' basketball play on Thursday.
Clay Center led the game 14-9 after one quarter of play.
Concordia limited Clay Center to four points in the second stanza, and scored seven, to close the gap to 18-16 at halftime.
Clay Center outscored the Panthers 10-6 in the third quarter, and led 28-22.
Concordia tossed in 12 points in the final period, to eight for Clay Center, to make it 36-34.
Logan Jackson scored 13 points for the Panthers. Baylor Knox added 11 points.
