T-Birds 2-2 in Barton Classic

GREAT BEND — Splitting a pair of matches on Saturday, the Cloud County Community College volleyball team finished 2-2 in the Barton Classic hosted by Barton Community College.
Barton defeated Cloud County in straight sets, 25-23, 25-10, 28-26.
Haven Hamilton had eight kills for the Thunderbirds. Shelby Ohlde, Dayana Chara ad Jessica Williams added six kills each.
Cammie Miller finished with 16 assists and Willow Hunt had 12 digs.
Cloud County, 13-14 this season, finished of the two-day classic with a win over Labette Community College, 25-13, 25-17, 26-24.
Ohlde led the way with 10 kills. Wiliams and Giovanna Fundaro had nine kills each.
Freshman setter Laken Schroeder recorded 20 assists and had 18 digs.
Britt Michaels finished with 15 digs and Hunt had 10.
Cloud County fell in three sets to Iowa Western Community College in its first match of the classic, 25-13, 25-21, 25-17.
Fundaro and Chara had eight kills each.
Schroeder had 15 assists and Miller had 11.
Michaelis and Hunt had six digs each.
The T-Birds swept Southeast (Neb.) Community College, 25-12, 26-24, 25-15.
Fundaro led the way with 10 kills. Chara had six.
Schroeder recorded 15 assists and Miller had 14.
Hunt had 14 digs.
