Thunderbirds pick up pair of wins in triangular

The Cloud County Community College volleyball team posted two wins in a triangular it hosted Monday in Bryant Gymnasium.
Cloud County, now 15-14 on the season, notched its third win this season over Southeast (Neb.) Community College in three sets, 25-16, 25-13, 25-12.
Giovanna Fundaro, a sophomore outside hitter, led the Thunderbirds with 10 kills.
Freshman middle Jessica Williams had nine kills in the win.
Dayana Chara, a freshman, added seven kills.
Freshman setter Laken Schroeder finished with 24 assists and eight digs.
Britt Michaelis, a sophomore libero, had nine digs.
Cloud County dropped the first set to the Kansas Wesleyan University junior varsity, 25-19.
The T-Birds won the next three sets, 25-12, 25-12, 25-15 to capture the 3-1 victory.
Chara led the way with 11 kills.
Freshman Haven Hamilton had 10 kills.
Williams and freshman Shelby Ohlde had nine kills each.
Schroeder had 22 assists and seven service aces.
Michaelis finished with 17 digs and freshman Willow Hunt had 12.
