ANTHONY LEE SMITH

Posted

Anthony L. Smith passed away suddenly and tragically, Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the Cloud County Health Center. He was born December 4, 1993, in Tucson, Arizona, the son of Ronald and Jodi Bergstrom. Following high school, Anthony moved to Concordia, Kansas, and began his career at the Cloud County Highway Department. Following that, he joined Dwas Trucking Company where he drove cross country. He then joined Swafford Farms, where he farmed fields and worked on farming equipment. He married his wife, Serra Smith, in October 2018. They had two beautiful children together. On the weekends you would find him spending time with family, working on cars, or at the dirt track. Anthony loved to spend time working on the race cars with his dad, brother, and uncle. But he was never happier than when he was in that car working towards that win. He was preceded in death by Richard Bergstrom (uncle), Swede Bergstrom (grandfather), and Ray Von Cyr (grandfather).
Survivors include his parents, Jodi and Ronald Bergstrom; wife, Serra Smith; son, Anthony Smith Jr., daughter, Vivian Smith, all of Concordia, Kan.; grandparents, Diane & Max Mann of Kansas City, Mo., Doris Bergstrom of Gardner, Kan.; brother, Christopher Miller (Miranda) of Aurora, Kan.; sister, Casie Miller; brothers, Matthew (Kelley) Bergstrom, Luke Bergstrom (Elena) of Kansas City, Mo.; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
