April Lynn (Sanderson) Benne was born on February 21, 1978, in Lawrence, Kansas, and peacefully passed away at her home in Courtland, Kansas, on November 23, 2025.
April spent her 1st grade year working as a missionary in Haiti. She went on to attend Potwin Elementary School, Robinson Middle School, and graduated from Topeka High School in 1996. April then attended McPherson College, graduating with Honors in 2000, with degrees in Art and Communication. It was there that April met Steven Benne, and the couple was wed on August 16, 1997, in Topeka, Kansas, and to this union, Cheneal, Ethan, Leah, Paisley and Ezra were born. She worked at McPherson College, Washburn University and Cloud County Community College, where she was presently the Director of Concurrent Enrollment.
April lived a life of service and had a passionate love of God. Her memorial service will be held at the Wesleyan Church in Belleville, Kansas, on November 29, 2025, at 11 a.m. Arrangements are made through Tibbetts Fischer Funeral Home in Belleville, Kansas.
