WAMEGO — Teeing off the season against defending state champion Wamego, the Concordia High School boys golf team finished ninth in the 17-team meet.

Reagan Kueker of Wamego finished in first with a score of 71.

Lennon Ninemire finished in 14th with a score of 84.

Luke Donovan finished tied for 35th with a score of 93.

Andrew Henderson finished tied for 43rd with a score of 97.

Karson Lister finished tied for 54th with a score of 102.

Baylor Knox finished 69th with a score of 109.

Coleman Plymesser finished tied for 73rd with a score of 110.

“We had a rough start to our season,” said head coach Gene Rundus. “There were 17 teams so that necessitated a shotgun start and our guys had to tackle the challenging back-nine right out of the gate. Unfortunately, we had a few early penalty strokes assessed and then we were never really able to get our feet under us. Lennon had a decent day with his 84, and though the results were not what we wanted, I am confident that we will address what we need to during the practices leading up to the Chapman Invite on the 15th.”
