CHAPMAN — Traveling to Chapman for the second road NCKL matchup of the year, the Concordia High School football team dropped their fourth straight game with a 52-8 loss to the Irish.

Chapman wasted no time at all establishing the run, but the Panthers forced a fumble to end the Irish drive and get the ball at their own 39 after a great run by Kale Schroeder, but the Panthers couldn't create anything out of it. The Irish run game bled the remaining time of the first quarter as it remained 0-0.

Two plays into the second quarter, Chapman scored on a one-yard run to make it 8-0 Irish. A Panther fumble on the following drive gave way to the Irish scoring again to make it 16-0.

Concordia was forced to punt after a three-and-out, but a Chapman penalty would give the Panthers a first down; the Panthers went for it on fourth down, but a batted ball led to an interception. Chapman took over around midfield and scored on the first play of the drive to make it 22-0. Chapman would force another Panther punt and would score one more time to make it 30-0 at halftime.

Concordia’s offense would continue to be held in check, with Chapman scoring two more touchdowns as the Panthers couldn’t stop the ground attack. The Panthers trailed 44-0 entering the fourth quarter.

Chapman took four minutes off the clock on the following drive after a Panther punt to start the fourth, and a touchdown would institute a running clock. With time running out in the game, the Panthers made their way down the field, with Brantley Ingwerson scoring from two yards out with under a minute to go to avoid the shutout, but the Panthers fell 52-8 to the Irish.
