CHS girls tennis competes at NCKL meet, Wamego

WAMEGO — Heading to Wamego for a reduced and makeup Wamego meet, the Concordia High School girls tennis team picked up a pair of wins, and also competed at the NCKL tournament hosted by Clay Center.

In number one singles, McKayla Cherney went 1-1, opening the day with an 8-3 win over Kate Parnell of Perry-Lecompton, before ending the day on an 8-2 loss.

In number one doubles, Kinzee Motes and Alexa Jordan went 1-1, opening the day with an 8-6 win over Brooke Speer and Roslyn Slocum of Perry-Lecompton, with an 8-2 loss to end the day.

In number two doubles, Jazlyn Hendershott and Raylea Studt went 0-2.

In number one singles, McKayla Cherney went 0-5. Cherney went 6-8, 2-8, 1-8, 0-8, 3-8 in her five matches.

In number two singles, Raylea Studt went 0-5. Studt went 1-8, 2-8, 1-8, 1-8, 1-8 in her five matches.

In number one doubles, Kinzee Motes and Alexa Jordan went 0-5. The pair went 0-8, 0-8, 2-8, 1-8, 1-8 in their five matches.

In number two doubles, Jazlyn Hendershott and Bailey Conner went 0-5. The duo went 2-8, 0-8, 0-8, 1-8, 8-0 in their five matches.
