Clifton-Clyde golf competes at TVL, Riley County, Lakeside tournaments

WASHINGTON, Kan. — Capping off the regular season in a loaded three-meet series in a single week, the Clifton-Clyde golf team sets its sights on the state meet on May 25 at Mankato.

At the TVL meet hosted by Hanover at Washington County, the Eagles finished in fourth place with a score of 379. Onaga took the team title with a score of 351; Bronx Talley of Centralia was first with a tiebreaker score of 77, Graham Valburg of Onaga also had a 77.

Parker Knoettgen was the top Eagle, finishing with a fifth-place score of 89.

Gage LeClair finished with a 14th-place score of 94.

Clay Joy finished with a 25th-place score of 97.

Ethan Roeder finished with a 28th-place score of 99.

Ethan Sacco finished with a 33rd-place score of 107.

Joseph Fahey finished with a 45th-place score of 125.

RILEY COUNTY

Bentley Melby of Pike Valley won the individual title with a score of 70. St. John's was first as a team.

Parker Knoettgen was the top Eagle, with a score of 79, good for ninth place.

Ayden Oestreich finished with a score of 94, good for 21st place.

Ethan Sacco also finished with a score of 94, finishing in 22nd place.

Clay Joy finished with a score of 100, good for 28th place.

Gage LeClair also finished with a score of 100, good for 29th place.

LAKESIDE

Bentley Melby of Pike Valley was first with a score of 65. Rock Hills was first with a score of 316; the Eagles were third with a score of 324.

Parker Knoettgen was the top Eagle with a score of 74, good for second place, and broke the school record for an individual score.

Gage LeClair finished with a score of 80, good for 90th place.

Clay Joy finished with a score of 84, good for 14th place.

Joseph Fahey finished with a score of 86, good for 21st place.

Ethan Sacco finished with a score of 88, good for 25th place.

Ethan Roeder finished with a score of 93, good for 36th place.
