LINCOLN, Kan. — Fighting the wind on an unfamiliar course for the current iteration of the Clifton-Clyde golf team, the Eagles finished in third place as a team with a pair of top 10 finishers.
Bentley Melby of Pike Valley was first individually with a score of 71. Baldwin was first as a team with a score of 333, while the Eagles were third with a score of 351.
Parker Knoettgen was the top Eagle, with a score of 83, good for an eighth-place tie.
Ethan Sacco tied for 10th place with a score of 85.
Ethan Roeder tied for 16th place with a score of 89.
Clay Joy was 22nd with a score of 94.
Gage LeClair tied for 23rd with a score of 95.
Kyzler Damman tied for 34th place with a score of 111.
In the opening meet of the season at Glasco hosted by St. John’s (Beloit), the Eagle golf team finished in fourth place in the eight-team meet.
Parker Knoettgen was the top Eagle, finishing with a score of 78, good for sixth place.
Ethan Sacco had a score of 84, tied for 16th place
Ethan Roeder had a score of 87, tied for 21st place.
Gage LeClair had a score of 88, tied for 24th place.
Clay Joy had a score of 91, tied for 30th place.
Kiernan Fahey had a score of 115, good for 46th place.
Eli Schmitt of Lakeside was first overall with a score of 72. Lakeside was first with a four-man score of 305. Clifton-Clyde was fourth with a score of 337.
