In a shortened meet at the nearby 10-team Concordia Invite due to weather in the area, the Clifton-Clyde track team took first and fourth places after seven scored events.
The girls’ team finished in first place with 58 points, 19 points over second-place Beloit, while the boys were in fourth place with 21 points, and Buhler won with 70 points.
In the boys’ discus, Locklund Feight was third with a throw of 140’4” and Ryan LeClair was fourth with a throw of 136’11”. Brant Wilson of Smith Center was first with a throw of 166’3”.
In the girls’ discus, Calyn Baker was first with a throw of 132’7”.
In the boys’ javelin, Ryan LeClair was 17th with a throw of 128’7”, Wilson (SC) was first with a throw of 168’5”.
In the girls’ javelin, Paige Joy was first with a throw of 108’1”.
In the girls’ long jump, Sevy Wurtz was first with a jump of 17’7.5”.
In the girls’ triple jump, Wurtz was first with a jump of 34’9.5”.
In the girls’ pole vault, Jordi Fahey was first with a height of 10’, and Nellie Fahey was ninth with a height of 8’6”.
In the boys’ shot put, Locklund Feight was fifth with a throw of 43’10.5”, and Ryan LeClair was sixth with a throw of 43’9”. Wilson (SC) was first with a throw of 46’0.5”.
In the girls’ shot put, Calyn Baker was second with a throw of 38’1”. Bently Pruitt of Beloit was first with a throw of 40’5.5”.
In the only track event of the afternoon, the 4x800m, the boys team of Striker Affolter, Joseph Fahey, Cohen Girard and Landon Begnoche, was second with a time of 8:51.05. Smith Center was first with a time of 8:41.8.
