HAYS – Con-kids wrestling competed in the USAWKS 2025 District 4 Championship in Hays on March 7-8. Con-kids sent 31 wrestlers to the 30 team event, in which 1,104 wrestlers competed.
Hadleigh Snavely, 10U girls 80 pounds, earned a sixth-place finish with a 1-3 record.
Korbyn Ramirez, 12U girls 105 pounds, earned a third-place finish with a 4-1 record. Ramirez won two straight matches before falling in the semifinal, then won two straight in the consolation bracket.
Ava Day, 12U girls 105 pounds, earned a sixth-place finish with a 3-3 record. Day won her first match, before losing in the quarterfinal, then won two straight before losing to teammate Korbyn Ramirez, and falling in the fifth place match.
Sophie Buckley, 12U girls 120 pounds, earned a first-place finish with a 3-0 record. Buckley won all her matches by fall, 4:13, 2:54, and 2:46.
Allie Strait, 12U girls 140 pounds, went 0-2 on the day.
Anniston Coates, 12U girls 165 pounds, earned a fourth-place finish with a 1-3 record. Coates won in the fifth round by fall in 2:56.
Layla Aggson, 14U girls 119 pounds, went 0-2 on the day.
Tenley Snavely, 14U girls 127 pounds, went 2-2. Snavely won her first two matches, before falling in her next two to end the day.
Kenzie Beam, 14U girls 145 pounds, earned a fifth-place finish with a 2-2 record. Beam won her first match, lost the championship and consolation semifinal match, before winning in the fifth-place match.
Ava Rowland, 14U girls 235 pounds, earned a first-place finish with a 2-0 record. Rowland defeated Nova Rodriguez of Ellsworth County in both matches by fall in 13 and 31 seconds.
Hoyt Snavely, 8U boys 49 pounds, went 0-2 on the day.
Oden Kisby, 8U boys 55 pounds, went 0-2 on the day.
Blake Wiese, 8U boys 61 pounds, went 2-2 on the day. Wiese won his first match in 28 seconds, before falling in round two, then winning in consolation round three, then falling in round four.
Ashton Dutton, 8U boys 88 pounds, earned a fourth-place finish with a 2-2 record. Dutton lost his first match of the day to Cooper Schoendaler of Hoxie by decision, before winning two straight matches in the consolation bracket, before falling to Schoendaler again in the third-place match.
Evan Francis, 10U boys 58 pounds, earned a fourth-place finish with a 2-2 record. Francis won his first match in 36 seconds, before falling in the semifinals. He then won in his consolation semifinal match before dropping the third-place match.
Witten Roe, 10U boys 58 pounds, went 0-2 on the day.
Collin Roe, 10U boys 64 pounds, went 0-2 on the day.
Hudson Frazier, 10U boys 76 pounds, went 1-2.
Ezekiel Millikan, 10U boys 79 pounds, went 0-2.
Robert Lawson, 10U boys 90 pounds, went 0-2.
Jaxon Dutton, 10U boys 100 pounds, earned a sixth-place finish with a 3-2 record. Dutton won his first match in 12 seconds, before falling in the quarterfinal, then winning two straight matches, then losing two straight.
Liam Francis, 12U boys 80 pounds, earned a fourth-place finish with a 2-2 record. Francis won his first match, fell in the second, won the third, and lost in the third-place match.
Carter Dykes, 12U boys 140 pounds, went 0-2 on the day.
Brantley Odette, 12U boys 150 pounds, earned a sixth-place finish with a 0-3 record.
Trigg Fraser, 14U boys 85 pounds, earned a fourth-place finish with a 1-2 record, with the lone win being in the consolation semifinal match, before falling in the third-place match.
Landen Belden, 14U boys 100 pounds, went 0-2 on the day.
Jacksen Whitley, 14U boys 100 pounds, earned a fourth-place finish with a 2-2 record. Whitley won his first match, before falling in the semifinals, then won in the consolation semis, then lost in the third-place match.
Jaksyn Lavoie, 14U boys 150 pounds, earned a sixth-place finish with 2-3 record. Lavoie won his first two matches before dropping three straight.
Landen Jorgensen, 14U boys 155 pounds, finished in second place with a 3-1 record. Jorgensen won his first two matches by major decision then picked up a forfeit win, before falling in the championship match.
Zackarie Stovall, 14U boys 160 pounds, earned a fifth-place finish with a 1-2 record, with the sole win being in the fifth-place match.
Carson Brooks, 14U boys 175 pounds, went 0-2 on the day.
Carter Eakins, High School boys 144 pounds, earned a fourth-place finish with a 2-2 record. He won his first match before falling in the semis. Eakins won in 51 seconds in the consolation semis then lost in the third place match.
Tre Hamiel, High School 190 pounds, earned a first-place finish with a 2-0 record. Hamiel won his first match by decision, 5-4, before winning by major decision, 13-0 in the championship match.
