Concordia Police Department report for August. 18-24

Noise Complaint

  • On Aug. 24, 2025, at 11:24 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 400 block of East Seventh Street for a report of a noise complaint.

Criminal Damage

  • On Aug. 24, 2025, at 9:25 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Lincoln Street for a report of criminal damage to property. Officers escorted the individual off the property without incident, reporting party did not want to press charges.
  • On Aug. 22, 2025, at 12:31 p.m., officers responded to the 500 block of West Ninth Street for a report of criminal damage to property. This incident is still under investigation.

Plane Crash

  • On Aug. 24, 2025, at 7:27 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1600 section of 150th Road to assist the Kansas Highway Patrol and the Cloud County Sheriff’s Department in a single-fatality plane crash. This incident is still under investigation.

Criminal Threat

  • On Aug. 23, 2025, at 8:56 p.m., officers responded to the dog park for a report of a criminal threat. No report needed.

Injury Accident

  • On Aug. 23, 2025, at 8:19 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of East College Drive for a report of an injury accident. One individual was transported to Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, Kan., by the Concordia Fire and EMS Department.

Non-Injury Accident

  • On Aug. 22, 2025, at 4:09 p.m., officers responded to the 1600 block of Lincoln Street for a non-injury accident.
  • On Aug. 22, 2025, at 11:31 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of East College Drive for a report of a non-injury accident. Upon investigation, Kaitlyn Marquis of Concordia was cited and released for no proof of insurance.
  • On Aug. 19, 2025, at 12:31 p.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of Lincoln Street for a report of a non-injury accident.
  • On Aug. 18, 2025, at 3:33 p.m., officers responded to the 900 block of West 10th Street for a report of a non-injury accident. 
  • On Aug. 18, 2025, at 9:02 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of East Sixth Street for a report of a non-injury accident.

Vehicle Pursuit

  • On Aug. 23, 2025, at 8:15 p.m., the Concordia Police Department was contacted by the Kansas Highway Patrol about an active pursuit. Officers worked with the Kansas Highway Patrol and Cloud County Sheriff’s Department in attempts to apprehend the vehicle. This incident is still under investigation.

Verbal Fight

  • On Aug. 23, 2025, at 4:27 p.m., officers were flagged down by citizens regarding a verbal fight. Officers relocated to the 500 block of East Seventh Street, where they made contact with individuals who were later separated. Both parties denied a physical altercation; no report needed.

Civil Standby

  • On Aug. 23, 2025, at 9:46 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of West Fifth Street for a civil standby.

Criminal Trespassing

  • On Aug. 22, 2025, at 10:27 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of West 18th Street for a report of criminal trespass. Upon investigation, it was juveniles playing a game. The juveniles were escorted off the property; no report needed.

Grass Fire

  • On Aug. 22, 2025, at 1:48 p.m., officers responded with the Concordia Fire Department to the 400 block of East 18th Street for a report of a grass fire.

Scam

  • On Aug. 22, 2025, at 11:17 a.m., officers took a report of a financial scam.

Automated Call

  • On Aug. 21, 2025, at 10:10 p.m., Concordia Dispatch received an automated call informing them that a phone had detected a car crash in the 1700 block of Broadway. Officers responded to the scene but did not find any vehicles involved in an accident.

Disorderly Conduct

  • On Aug. 21, 2025, at 6:42 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of East College Drive for a report of disorderly conduct. Officers trespassed the individual off of the property, and the reporting party did not want to press charges.
  • On Aug. 19, 2025, at 12:18 p.m., an officer responded to the 100 block of West College Drive for a report of disorderly conduct. Officers were able to de-escalate the situation. The reporting party did not want to press charges.

Civil Dispute

  • On Aug. 21, 2025, at 9:17 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of East 10th Street for a civil dispute.

Theft

  • On Aug. 20, 2025, at 11:02 p.m., officers responded to the police department for a report of a theft. This incident is still under investigation.

Fight

  • On Aug. 20, 2025, at 5:24 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of East College Drive for a report of a fight. Upon investigation, all parties were separated and no one wanted to press charges.

Barking Dogs

  • On Aug. 20, 2025, at 1:52 a.m., officers responded to the 400 block of West 15th Street for a report of dogs barking. Officers were unable to get in contact with the owners at that time. On Aug. 21, Concordia Animal Control cited Donald Stephenson for barking dogs.

Custody Dispute

  • On Aug. 19, 2025, at 3:12 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of West First Street for a report of a custody dispute.

Traffic Stop

  • On Aug. 19, 2025, at 10:01 a.m., officers responded to the 2000 block of Lincoln Street to assist the Kansas Highway Patrol in a traffic stop.

Welfare Check

  • On Aug. 18, 2025, at 8:46 a.m., an officer responded to the 600 block of East 15th Street for a welfare check.
