Dakota Evert, aged 29, and a resident of Concordia, was arrested Monday morning and charged with 72 counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
The Concordia Police Department has confirmed that the arrest of Evert was the culmination of a months-long investigation. "Dakota Evert was arrested at approximately 10 a.m. this morning and charged with 72 counts of sexual exploitation of a child," said Lt. Adam Sorell of the Concordia Police Department. "This arrest completed a months-long investigation. Evert has been booked into the Cloud County Jail."
Law enforcement personnel had been actively searching for Evert for several days. He was located Monday morning in the area of Fifth and Kansas streets and taken into custody.
In October of 2024, law enforcement personnel served a search warrant at Evert's residence in the 400 block of West Fifth Street and confiscated electronic devices.
Evert's Facebook page lists him as residing in Concordia and that he is a "digital creator."
