Concordia Wesleyan Church to host 25th annual Trunk-N-Treat

Posted

Saturday, October 31st from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at 16th and Cedar.  Candy will be handed out to the children from a parking lot full of cars as a safe, family-friendly way for our community to spend time together.  All the candy is individually wrapped, professionally made, and safe. Everything is free, including hot chocolate and popcorn served in the decorated cantina area south of the church.  Tables will be available to rest and relax with friends and family, or snap a photo of your child with a fall backdrop for some fun memories in the years to come.

Fun features, in addition to the featured, decorated trunks, include the Candy Cannon that scatters candy out to the kids, the Candy Chute, which distributes a piece of candy to each child from 30 ft in the air, and a Pumpkin Ring Toss available along the path.

16th Street will be blocked off from Cedar to State Street. Please enter the campus at the corner of 16th and Cedar. There will be crossing guards to help with a safe crossing, but parents are asked to please use caution.

Trunk-N-Treat has provided a safe, fun, and family-oriented evening since 2001. This event was created to give kids a place where they can have fun and be safe.  “We want all families in our community to experience a caring place, not a scaring place.  We hope that when they come on our campus, they feel the love of Christ and our church community.” says Pastor David Redmond, Lead Pastor of Concordia Wesleyan Church.  “This event is all about fun, friendship, and sharing the light of God’s love in a joyful, welcoming atmosphere.”  Come and have fun with us!
