Daniel C. Peck, 71, of Colmesneil, TX, passed away at home on Sunday, March 1, 2026, after a long illness. A celebration of Dan's life will be announced at a later date.
Daniel was born February 1, 1955, in Concordia, Kansas, to John and Christine Peck. He grew up in Concordia with his two sisters and was a 1973 graduate of Concordia High School. He later moved to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1974. At that time, he was working and furthering his education, graduating summa cum laude from Arizona State University in 1982, with a degree in business. During that time, he met his wife, Marcia, and they married in 1982.
After many years in Phoenix, in 2003 the couple moved to Crystal Beach, Texas, where they lived for 17 years. While there, Dan grew his business of project estimating and designing custom beach homes, which he truly enjoyed and was very proud of. An avid runner, Dan enjoyed running on the beach and participating in triathlons. In 2020, the Pecks moved to the small east Texas town of Colmesneil, where he continued his design business.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Christine Peck; two sisters, Connie Batchelor and Betsy Randall. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marcia Peck, and many family members including nieces, nephews, cousins, many good friends, and his beloved dogs. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorials may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 270 Peachtree St. NW, Suite 1300, Atlanta GA 30303, or an animal welfare/rescue organization of your choice. Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
