Dawnel F. Peterson, age 59, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the Hilltop Lodge Health and Rehabilitation in Beloit, Kan. She was born on May 20, 1966, in Concordia, Kan., to Sharon (Hubert) Rhea of Concordia and Warren Christenson of Collinsville, Okla.
Dawnel is survived by her parents, sister, Gail (Bill) White, Concordia; brother, Shawn (Susan) Christenson, Rifle, Colo.; Brandon (Kristen) Christenson, Concordia; her children, Christina (Cean) Prebble, Brittany (Wyatt) Neptune, Brooke Neptune and Evin (Suzanna) Neptune; her grandchildren, Alysha Prebble, LillyAnn and Orion Conard, Jaxson, Scarlett and Walker Johnston, and Nash Neptune all of Rifle, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rocky Peterson, brothers, Brian and Scott Christenson, maternal grandparents, Adlore and Berenice Hubert and paternal grandparents, Louis and Pauline Christenson.
Cremation has taken place, and a family graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in St. Joseph, Kan.
