Dorothy Faye Spear, 83, Concordia resident, passed away February 27, 2021, at Sunset Home. She was born October 16, 1937, at Gatesville, Texas, the daughter of Howard Baker and Lenna Wiegand Baker. Dorothy was a farmer and rancher. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Concordia. She served on the Morrison Cemetery Board, Election Board at the Silver Arrow School House and was a member of E. H. U. (Extension Homemaker Unit).
She is survived by two children: two sons, Billy L. Spear and wife Karen, Concordia, Kan., David L. Spear and wife Melinda, Concordia, Kan.; one brother, Clarence Baker of Levita, Texas; three sisters, Minnie Kinsley, Fort Worth, Texas, Shirley Penny, McGregor, Texas, Mildred Adams, Gatesville, Texas; four grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Proceeded in death by husbands, Alvin L. Spear, 1992, and Clifford A. Spear, 2006. Also proceeded in death by parents, one brother and one sister.
Memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Nutter Mortuary, with Pastor Randy Whitley officiating.
Visitation will be Monday, March 8, 2021, at Nutter Mortuary, 1:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., with family receiving friends 5:00- 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to The Cloud County Food Bank, located at the Cloud County Resource Center.
Inurnment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Beloit, Kan.
