ONAGA — Competing in the ever-difficult Twin Valley League volleyball tournament that includes three top 10 teams, Clifton-Clyde volleyball team went 1-2.
In the first match of the day, the Eagles fell to Blue Valley 2-1.
In match two, in round one of the consolation round robin, the Eagles defeated Washington County 2-0. Clifton-Clyde dominated set one 25-10 and had a strong 25-16 set two win.
In match three, the Eagles fell to Doniphan West 2-0. After a 25-20 set one loss to the Mustangs, the Eagles dropped set two 25-19.
Travelling to Frankfort as the regular season winds down, the Eagles picked up a pair of wins with a clean sweep over the Wildcats.
In game one, the Eagles won 25-20 and 25-23. In game two, the Eagles won 27-25 and 25-21.
Calyn Baker led in kills with 16, Paige Joy and Sevy Wurtz each had 14. Scout Skocny led in digs with 31, Baker had 15 and Sevy Wurtz had 13. Joy led in blocks with four, with Wurtz having three. Wurtz led in assists with 15 and Jordi Fahey had 13.
