Elaine Marie (Chaput) McRae, 88, died Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, in Phoenix, Arizona.
She was born Aug. 4, 1936, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Concordia, the youngest daughter of Emery and Denora (Letourneau) Chaput of Aurora. She graduated Concordia Catholic High School 1952 and Marymount college (Salina) in 1957 with a nursing degree. She was married to Earle McRae on Aug. 17, 1957. She worked as a nurse in VA hospitals in Topeka, KS and Phoenix, AZ and retired in Buckeye, AZ.
Survivors include two sons, Bruce McRae and wife Laurie Oguri, Brian McRae, and two grandchildren, Mark McRae & Amanda McRae.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, her husband, and her daughter, Debra Roth.
Funeral services will be at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia, Kansas, on Saturday, June 7 at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Concordia Cemetery.
