Emily Nelson Wilcox Eickmann, age 103, passed away December 30, 2021, at her home in Concordia, Kansas. She was born November 12, 1918, at Wayne, Kansas, to Olive Nelson and the late Emil Nelson. She graduated from Belleville High School and married Paul Wilcox in 1938 in Wayne. The couple lived there until Paul joined the Navy, at which time Emily moved to Kansas City, Kansas. They moved back to Concordia in 1963 to be closer to family.
They had two children, Ron Wilcox and Nancy Greenwood.
Paul died in 1982 and Emily later married Erskine Eickmann and moved to Chester, Nebraska, and enjoyed the farm life.
Emily was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two husbands. She is survived by a sister, Carolyn Ott (Tom), two children, Ron Wilcox (Nancy) and Nancy Greenwood (Randy). Grandchildren include: Jennifer Oliver (Drew), Bobbi Kuczler, Kris Wilcox, Ethan Wilcox (Nicole), Alex and Rusti Greenwood. Great-grandchildren include: Ambrel Fakler, Jacob and Drew Fitzpatrick, Isaac Kuczler, Kollyn Wilcox and James Wilcox.
Emily chose cremation with a private family gathering at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Cloud County Food Bank.
