Ginger Ann Thomas, 70, of Arkansas City, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022, at the Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center, Harry Hines Hospice Unit. Cremation has been effected. A graveside Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022, at the Parker Cemetery. Pastor Dave Stanley will officiate.
Ginger was born November 15, 1951, to Arnold S. and Mary I. (Houser) Krob in Fowler, Kansas. She grew up and attended schools in many different places, due to her father being a minister. She graduated from Concordia High School in 1969.
On December 15, 1972, she married Donald Thomas in Concordia. The couple made their home in Concordia until moving to Arkansas City in 1981. Ginger worked as the office manager for Phil Stop (Grove’s Oil) for many years until her retirement. Ginger had a passion for baking and cooking for her family and friends. She was known for her goodie bags that she handed out over the holidays. Most of all, Ginger cherished spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son, Jeremy Thomas and wife Wendy of Mulvane, Kan.; daughter, Amy Eickleberry and husband Robert of Derby, Kan.; brother, Terry Krob and wife Carolyn of Minnesota; sisters, Cindy Vignery and husband K.C. of Concordia, Kan., Lori McManus and husband Antony of Ireland; grandchildren, Caitlyn Eickleberry of Raleigh, N.C., Theo Thomas of Mulvane, Kan., and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ginger was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Don.
