Jack Eugene Nuss, 83, of Bushton, KS, passed away on February 18, 2026, in Las Vegas, NV. Born on September 9, 1942, in Concordia, KS, he was the beloved son of Melvin and Marjorie Nuss. Jack grew up in Concordia and graduated from Concordia High School and later Kansas State University with a degree in Fisheries Biology. He went on to work in the fisheries industry nationwide, Colorado Fish and Game, and law enforcement later in life. Jack was known for his kindness and humor and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Jack is survived by children Todd Nuss, Traci Burt, Maggi Garden and Jack Henry Nuss; grandchildren Stevie, Henry and Wells; siblings Judy, Jenise (Koko), Jim, Jon, Joni and Jeff. He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin Nuss and Marjorie (Walden) Nuss and infant daughter Ruby.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Jack's niece Ashley and her family, caregivers, and Procare Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
