Lange, Kueker medal at state track meet

WICHITA — Gabi Lange, competing at state for the first time, medaled in the pole vault, and Avery Kueker medaled in the high jump, to lead the Concordia Panther athletes at the state track meet at Cessna Stadium in Wichita, Kansas.

With all six state divisions competing - 1A through 6A - this is the largest high school track meet in the United States.

In the 4A girls pole vault, Gabi Lange tied for fourth with a height of 10’. Izzy Brunkow of Eudora was first with a height of 11’7”.

In the 4A girls high jump, Avery Kueker tied for seventh with a height of 5’2”.

200m dash — Girls: Lillian Nuss was 14th in the prelims with a time of 26.72. Renatta Heinz of Abilene won the event with a time of 24.96.

400m dash — Girls: Rylie Jessup was 16th in the prelims with a time of 1:04.20. Dru Zeka of Wellington was first with a time of 57.44.

800m run — Girls: Rylie Jessup was ninth with a time of 2:27.94. Hannah Bridwell was 11th with a time of 2:29.31. Lauren Smith of Clay Center was first with a time of 2:15.55.

4x100m relay — Girls: The team of Madalyn Bowers, Lillian Nuss, Kynlee Hamel, and Avery Kueker was ninth in the prelims with a time of 50.71. Clearwater won the event with a time of 48.10.

4x400m relay — Girls: The team of Lillian Nuss, Charlize Cash, Marlee VanMeter, and Rylie Jessup was 13th in the prelims with a time of 4:15.78. Rock Creek was first with a time of 4:02.24.

High jump - Gabi Lange was tied for 15th with a height of 4’10”. Dru Zeka of Wellington was first with a height of 5’8.

Triple jump — Girls: Charlize Cash was 10th with a jump of 33’0.75”. Adalyn Hemphill of Eudora was first with a jump of 36’9.75”. Boys: Reese Franklin was 13th with a jump of 39’6”. JJ Crawford of Paola was first with a jump of 46’.

Shot put — Boys: Dane Cleveland scratched on all three shot put attempts. Canton Fitzmaurice of Chanute was first with a throw of 54’5.25”.

Pole vault — Boys: Burke Kindel scratched on all three pole vault attempts. Cooper Wingfield of Louisburg won with a height of 15’6”.

Andale took home the 4A state title on the girl’s side with 91 team points, and on the boy’s side with  68.5 points.
