NEWTON — In the final competition of the 2025 boys golf season, the Concordia High School boys golf team went to Sand Creek Station in Newton, with Lennon Ninemire making it to day two.

Ninemire finished tied for 37th with a score of 169.

DAY ONE RESULTS

Luke Donovan was 52nd with a score of 87.

Andrew Henderson was 65th with a score of 91.

Peyton Retter was 79th with a score of 98.

Baylor Knox was 90th, with a score of 108.

Coleman Plymesser was 92nd with a score of 115.

“Every member of this team gave it all they had,” said head coach Gene Rundus. “Golf is a humbling game. Sometimes you are on top, and at other times, you are in the “gunch” (rough). Through it all, the guys never backed down. We had a great turnout of seniors to watch Lennon Ninemire on his second day, and that speaks volumes about who we are as a team. I know that Lennon felt the pressure of carrying us all on the second day, and that was a burden that he shouldered well. The front nine was Veni, Vidi, Bogey, but the back nine started strong as it was full of pars and great play. At the end of the day, we were one stroke over Tuesday’s effort, but I know that Lennon gave it his all. We lose some great seniors this year; now it’s time to enjoy all we’ve accomplished and to encourage and inspire those who can keep the streak going and build on these years of success.”

Wamego won the team title with a score of 621. Topeka-Hayden was second with a score of 624, and Circle was third with a score of 655.

Ethan Small of Independence was first individually with a total score of 142. Regan Kueker of Wamego was second with a score of 143, and Grant McAfee of Pratt was third with a score of 151.
