ST. GEORGE — Competing in the league meet to prepare for the regional meet in Abilene, the Concordia High School track team picked up 12 top-five finishes.
100m dash — Girls: Avery Kueker was third with a time of 13.41. Madalyn Bowers was fifth with a time of 13.55. Renatta Heintz of Abilene was first with a time of 12.24. Boys: Kaide Gropp finished second with a time of 11.51. Kameron Krogman of Chapman was first with a time of 11.48.
200m dash — Girls: Lillian Nuss was fourth with a time of 27.35. Madalyn Bowers was fifth with a time of 28.12. Heintz (Abilene) was first with a time of 25.34. Boys: Kaide Gropp had a three-way tie for third with a time of 22.64. Jace Weller of Clay Center was first with a time of 21.64.
400m dash — Girls: Rylie Jessup was sixth with a time of 1:03.02. Kylee Frazee of Rock Creek was first with a time of 59.47.
800m run — Girls: Rylie Jessup was third with a time of 2:28.98. Hannah Bridwell was fifth with a time of 2:32.53. Lauren Smith of Clay Center was first with a time of 2:16.10.
300m hurdles — Girls: Charlize Cash was fourth with a time of 49.01. Karli Reitz of Rock Creek was first with a time of 47.55.
4x100m relay — Boys: the team of Ryker Wildeman, Javen Garcia, Matthew Naillieux, and Kaide Gropp finished fourth with a time of 44.87. Chapman was first with a time of 44.03.
4x800 relay — Girls: the team of Ava Metro, Aubrey Stahlman, Ashlynn James, and Hannah Bridwell was fifth with a time of 10:54.49. Clay Center was first with a time of 10:12.68.
High Jump — Girls: Avery Kueker was fourth with a height of 5’. Ava Klingenberg of Rock Creek was first with a height of 5’4”.
Long Jump — Girls: Marlee VanMeter was third with a jump of 16’5”. Sarah Miller of Marysville was first with a jump of 17’3”.
Triple Jump — Girls: Charlize Cash was third with a jump of 33’3.25”. Claire Wasylk of Chapman was first with a jump of 34’1.
Discus — Girls: Marlie Johnson tied for sixth with a throw of 97’4”. Rory Pitzer of Rock Creek was first with a throw of 133’1.5”. Boys: Jadrian Riley won gold with a throw of 162’11”.
Javelin — Girls: Rylie Jessup was sixth with a throw of 106’11”. Skylar Schoenbeck of Wamego was first with a throw of 122’8”.
Shot Put — Girls: Gabi Lange was sixth with a throw of 30’4.75”. Pitzer (RC) was first with a throw of 36’2.75”. Boys: Dane Cleveland was third with a throw of 45’2”. Jadrian Riley was fourth with a throw of 43’. Josh Flanigan of Wamego was first with a throw of 45’5.5”.
Pole Vault — Gabi Lange won gold with a height of 9’6”. Boys: Burke Kindel tied for sixth with a height of 11’. Kaicen Deweese of Chapman was first with a height of 13’6”.
