Ramona Marilyn (Nelson) Dibley, 92, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2022, at her home in Modesto, California. Ramona was born on February 19, 1929, to Edwin and Frances (Parson) Nelson in Concordia, Kansas. Ramona was one of seven children.
Ramona grew up in Kansas, and moved to Modesto, California, as a young adult. She met Kenneth Dibley in Modesto, and they eventually married January 8, 1961. Ramona worked at Rogers Jewelry Company in Modesto for almost 50 years, until retiring in her early 70's. She loved to attend church, and was a member of Trinity Presbyterian. Her greatest loves were her three grandchildren. She loved to attend all of their sporting events and was always on the sidelines cheering them on.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers: LaVerne, Elden, and Carl, sisters: Arlene Fredrickson & Leola Doyen.
Ramona is survived by her daughter, Leslie Scott and son-in-law, Craig Scott of Modesto; three grandchildren: Jacob, Nicole, and Michael Scott; brother, Darrell Nelson of Concordia, sisters-in-law, Anita Nelson and Regina Nelson of Concordia, along with many nieces and nephews.
Services were held Wednesday, February 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, 419 Scenic Drive, Modesto, Calif.
The family suggests memorials to Trinity United Presbyterian Church, 1600 Carver Road, Modesto, CA 95350.
