Robert Allen Thomas, 75, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at North Central Kansas Medical Center. Robert was born November 30, 1947, to Murrell E. and Helen W. (Cox) Thomas, in Concordia. He grew up and attended schools in Concordia before joining the United States Air Force in 1967. Robert proudly served for four years. After his honorable discharge, Robert worked many different jobs, but was a long-time truck driver and always called Concordia home.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and attending Sturgis for several years.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Barbara Fisher; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Ginger Thomas; infant brother, Charles.
Survivors include Brian Kieffer and his wife of Haysville, Bradley Kieffer of Arkansas City, Jean Kincaid and her husband of Missouri, Joan Kieffer of Arkansas City, Jeremy Thomas and his wife of Mulvane, Amy Eickleberry of North Carolina, and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 27, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Nutter Mortuary.
Funeral Services will be Monday, August 28, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Nutter Mortuary, with Pastor Bob Burns officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post #76.
Burial will be Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery at Winfield, Kansas.
