LINCOLN, NEB.—Continuing their road trip with a visit north of the state border for the second time this season, the Cloud County Community College Thunderbird volleyball team fell to Southeast in a rematch of their August 27 matchup, snapping the T-Birds’ 13-game winning streak over the Bobcats.
The T-Birds got swept 0-3, falling in set one 25-18, set two 25-21, and set three 25-20.
Carlie Calgren and Grace Rowland each led in kills with seven each.
Zoey Studbeck, Grace Rowland, and Elizabeth Schuster each had two blocks.
Addyson Ogle led in assists with 11.
Reachert Chiquin led in digs with eight.
Officially opening up the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) play on the road out west against Colby Community College last Saturday, the T-Birds fell 0-3 to the Trojans.
Colby took the first set 25-10, after the T-Birds had more errors than kills in set one, before the Tojans took set two 25-19, before falling in set three 25-17.
Grace Rowland led in kills with six, Ylvie Schmid led in assists with nine, and digs with 10. Iza Caroline da Silva, Carlie Calgren, and Julieanne Sandoval each led with one block each.
