SanLoLeyte VFW 37515 Auxiliary met Oct. 15, 2025, at the Clyde VFW Post. President Kathleen Sorell called the meeting to order per the ritual at 6:35 p.m. with seven members present.
Secretary's September 2025 minutes approved as read.
Correspondence:
- Dept. of KS General Orders #4 (terms & duties of officers)
- Dept. of KS President's October 2025 Message (upcoming deadlines; Dept. will send out dues notices in October).
Treasurer's September 2025 Report filed subject to notice.
The July-September 2025 Audit Report was approved as read.
Committee Reports:
- Chaplain sent two get-well and one sympathy card.
- Americanism—November 4 is election day.
- Moment of silence held for POWs/MIAs, veterans, and military.
- Buddy Poppy/National Home—Poppies will be passed out on Veterans Day.
- Membership—156 members.
- Scholarship—VOD & Patriot Pen entries due October 31.
- Youth—Books for K-4th grades will be ordered.
- Veterans & Family Support—SRU Unit at Ft. Riley is closing in April 2026.
Old Business—None.
New Business—Plans made for Veterans Day activities
