William Edward (Bugsy) Brownell was born August 25, 1928 in Concordia, KS. He died November 23, 2025.
Bugsy went to school in Concordia. He spent two years in the U.S. Marine Corp and then returned to Concordia, married Wande Mullins, and they had five children. Bugsy worked 20 years at the Blade-Empire.
William Brownell was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, a sister, four half-brothers, a half-sister and his only son, Matt Brownell.
He is survived by his daughters, Jennie Jones and Harvey, Ruth Brown and Charlie, Bonnie Thurston, and Julia Phillips and Ron. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
His wish was to be cremated and buried next to his son, Matt. Private services will be at a later date.
